When laughter becomes therapy in Limoux

Laughter can be practiced without moderation. In addition, this manifestation, sometimes contagious with emotion, has a thousand virtues for individual and collective well-being.

It is with this in mind that an activity called laughter yoga has been developing for some time. The Limouxine Axelle Berger offers through gestures and rhythm, movements and especially laughter for no reason that are put in place.

Thus, the participants find themselves very quickly with spontaneous laughter which generalizes until the fit of giggles!

Concretely, the weekly sessions will start in town, as soon as Monday, September 26.

They will take place every Monday from 8 to 9 p.m., at 29, avenue Fabre-d’Eglantine, at the bottom of the impasse on the right between Biocoop and Eden in a spacious and comfortable room.

Laughter and its benefits

It has been shown that laughter, practiced on a regular basis, and at least 10 to 15 minutes continuously, is beneficial to health, both from a physiological and psychological point of view. Thus, laughing reduces stress, improves the quality of sleep, contributes to lowering hypertension while reinforcing positive ideas.

What’s more, laughter is generally innocuous and often has little impact on health although it would, depending on its intensity, greatly increase the level of serotonin and dopamine in such a way that it would have a antidepressant effect.
