The film is narrated by Elvis’ controversial manager, Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks), who played a key role in his career. The film focuses on the complicated relationship between Elvis (played by Austin Butler) and Parker, while showing the social, political and cultural background of America at that time. Viewers will see both the highs of Presley’s career, his huge impact on rock and roll music, as well as his personal tragedies, struggles with addictions and health problems that ultimately led to his premature death.
The film debuted in cinemas in 2022.
