The latest issue of the journal Rhizome, National Mental Health and Precariousness Bulletin, on the initiative of Orspere-Samdarra, National Observatory on Mental Health, Vulnerabilities and Societies, questions the links between gender, precariousness and mental health; gender, a key determinant of social inequalities in mental health. It therefore seems necessary to better understand the issues related to its definition and to measure what its concept has caused to evolve, more particularly in the fields of psychology and medicine. Thus, this issue is an invitation for the theories, practices of mental health and social intervention to free themselves from the patriarchal foundation and to listen to the expression of the multiplicity of gender identities.

This number is illustrated by Anne Jade, an artist who has never left her camera since she was offered one for her 5th birthday. She was born in Alençon, lived in Caen, Rouen, Brive-la-Gaillarde or Angoulême. She now lives with her wife and daughter in Brest, a city that embodies so well a theme that fascinates her: “being modern”. Anne Jadé works there as a computer engineer, but she has been a hairdresser and social worker in other lives.
Curiosity, enthusiasm and creativity are her driving forces: she is passionate regarding comics, draws, paints and has even been tempted by the production of short animated films. Nevertheless, photography is where Anne found the most natural way to express her emotions. She is particularly inspired by the urban worlds which allow her to develop the social issues of our time.
His choice of black and white corresponds to his desire to show without disguise, in a timeless and sensitive way.
