when Folklore invests the economy

ALGIERS – Mrs. Saida Neghza has rejected an outdated text which makes a clean sweep of all the reforms undertaken by the country since 2020 for the recovery of state finances, in order to avoid falling into the hands of the IMF and which made it possible to boost national production in order to reach, by 2023/2024, 13 billion dollars in exports excluding hydrocarbons.

In a contribution, moreover too well written, paradoxically, Ms. Saida Neghza makes herself the spokesperson for interests that she is supposedly supposed to fight, those of the old order, those of an Issaba whose favorite sport , was not the practice of golf, but embezzlement of people’s money. And who claim the right to acquire goods abroad with illicit transfers, resulting from the same money from over-invoicing.

In this missive, distributed massively on social networks, flouting the practices of correspondence addressed to the Presidency of the Republic, Madame Neghza’s main argument is supported by this same refusal of change, and this unhealthy obsession of the forces of the Republic. dirty money who don’t want to give up.

Nostalgic for the old order, this letter exudes the intentions of its true authors, namely to maintain inertia, but also provides information on the total disconnect of its authors, on the profound transformations that Algeria is experiencing.

All economic operators and state administrators know this character and his lack of stature and his penchant for everything foreign and international. But from there to standing as a defender of the Algerian economy, economic operators and citizens as a whole is a feat that Ms. Saida Neghza has dared to do. Besides, this is her main quality: She dares and that’s how we recognize her.

To return to more lenient altitudes for the self-proclaimed boss of the CGEA, there already exist, in the new Algeria, other institutions to carry, loud and clear, economic and social grievances, namely the CREA and the CNESE and the CGEA is not one of them, even if its boss has made the “proximity” of decision-makers, “bridges”, a business asset and a strength of her personal marketing. And the level of nonsense in this letter, completely disconnected from developments in the world, demonstrates that it eliminates itself from constructive and coherent economic debate.

Just as an example, his diatribe on the rise in prices of essential products, such as pasta, oil, sugar, tomato paste and others, is an example of this ignorance of realities. economic. These products have not experienced a price increase, except for meat, the importation of which has been authorized for the entire year, to curb prices. As for oil, Algeria currently produces three times its needs and even exports large quantities, while semolina and flour have not seen their price increase, because the State continues to support their price. , so as not to undermine the purchasing power of citizens.

Compared to many countries which are experiencing record inflation, with increases in the prices of the majority of products and raw materials, prices in Algeria are the lowest.

This letter strangely reminds us of a puppet “consumer defense” organization, which defended everything except the consumer. This organization which only defends, moreover, the only issue of automobiles and vehicle import licenses. But nonsense becomes suspect when it comes to discussing the issue of overbilling! How are Ms. Neghza and her minions embarrassed that the State has decided to recover the people’s money? Isn’t one of the presidential missions to recover the people’s money, where it is and who it is with?! For the commitment in favor of the Algerians, we must say that this money must be recovered and will be recovered. No offense to the recalcitrant bosses. Because the vast majority of economic operators are clean, honest and patriotic. Moreover, it is thanks to these clean and patriotic bosses that Algeria will take up the challenge of exporting, in 2023, 13 billion dollars excluding hydrocarbons. On the other hand, those who engage in shenanigans and overbilling: the State will not let them go. Therefore, this missive only aims to rehabilitate those who squandered the people’s money with the complicity of extra-constitutional forces. So why this letter, at this precise moment, if not an improved version of the pressures which remind us of the old days, when pressure groups, lobbies and oligarchs exercised their blackmail on the State, such as predatory organizations like the ex-FCE whose existence was exterminated, first of all, thanks to the blessed Hirak and, then, thanks to the 2019 presidential election.

But the icing on the cake of this bizarre letter is the proposal made by Mrs. Neghza with a shameful call for a reactivation of the tripartite. This famous tripartite, served for two decades, and which was the scene of the carving up of the Algerian economy and public companies. This masquerade staging which served as a tool for embezzlement and sell-off of public companies and of which Ms. Neghza, who described the tripartite in 2016 as a “formidable experience in terms of dialogue and social protection”, calls for, if not demands its return, while Algeria has chosen its path and is moving towards economic emergence.

It is through the tripartite that many public sector companies were sold to the FCE oligarchs. It was through the tripartite that the money from the printing press was distributed to the FCE. It is the tripartite which cost the public treasury billions of dollars. Madame Neghza, in her infinite delirium, only suggests that the State play Monopoly once more with the people’s money for the benefit of other oligarchs.

Since the advent of New Algeria, the State and its President have never been stingy in listening to the neglected, the voiceless and favoring the most constructive and patriotic proposals.
