WHAUP wins bid for 5 renewable energy power plants, 125 MW : InfoQuest

Mr. Somkiat Masanthasuwan Chief Executive Officer WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) revealed that the company has been selected by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to be a developer of renewable energy power plants. In the form of Feed-in Tariff (FiT), the first phase (Phase 1) for 5 solar farm projects, representing installed capacity according to the shareholding proportion of 125.4 megawatts, consisting of 3 projects in which WHAUP holds 100% shares, totaling 59.8 MW of electricity capacity, and 2 projects in which WHAUP jointly invests with partners, representing 65.6 MW of electricity generating capacity according to their shareholding

for power plant projects that have been selected from The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) this time are all solar farm projects, divided into 4 normal solar farm projects and 1 solar farm project that uses the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). All 5 projects are located in Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Ratchaburi and Kanchanaburi provinces and are scheduled to open for commercial operation (SCOD) in 2019-20.
