Please note, as of Tuesday, May 31, 2022, some smartphone users will no longer be able to use WhatsApp. The famous instant messaging application will evolve and the new version to come will not be compatible with certain versions of Android and iOS considered outdated. So, which models are affected by this change? We answer you.
That those who do not know and do not use WhatsApp raise your hand! Ok, obviously not many people. I have to say that WhatsApp messaging applaunched in 2011 and now owned by Facebook (renamed Meta), announced in February 2020 that it had crossed the bar of 2 billion users worldwide!
Unfortunately, like any technology, WhatsApp has its limits. Thus, each year, the company has adopted the habit of sorting through the smartphones able to access its application. In the fall of 2021, WhatsApp had decided to put aside several devices deemed outdated. Thus, since November 1, smartphone users equipped with versions prior to Android 4.1 and iOS 10 might no longer have access to whatsapp updates. Nevertheless, WhatsApp continued to work on these smartphones, but with some malfunctions. This time, from Tuesday, May 31, 2022some iPhone et Android will no longer be able to access the famous application at all, due to a new version and news which will not be compatible with older smartphones.
But then, what are these devices on which will stop working WhatsApp, without updating their system? It is smartphones dating from more than five years ago, and thus using old updates of their operating system.
