WhatsApp will launch a function to remove from group chats after time expires

WhatsApp messenger (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned) tests a new feature that will allow users to set the length of stay in group chats. After this period, the user will be automatically removed from the group.

It will be possible to set dates to one day, one month, or set a custom date to delete from the chat. If a chat participant changes their mind, it will be possible to cancel self-removal from the group. The new function is designed to put things in order in user correspondence. At the moment, the function is being tested in the iOS application, when it will become available to all users is unknown. Earlier, WhatsApp began testing a new feature to protect users from calls from spammers and scammers, and also added the ability to create stickers from photos.
