WhatsApp will end support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 on October 24

The WhatsApp messaging service is said to be dropping support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 as of October 24, 2022. This means that iPhone users who still have these iOS versions on their devices will be required to update to the new versions in order to use WhatsApp on their smartphones.

iOS 12 or later iOS will continue to support WhatsApp

Information regarding iOS 10 and iOS 11 support has been revealed by a WABetaInfo report.

WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot of the notification on the iPhone, to confirm the end of support from WhatsApp.

According to the text in the screenshot, WhatsApp will stop supporting iOS 10 and iOS 11 following October 24, 2022.

People using an iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or later version of the iPhone can update to iOS 12 to continue to support WhatsApp on their devices. However, people using the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5C will be required to upgrade to a newer iPhone because the iOS 12 update is not available for these smartphones, the report added.
