WhatsApp is working on a functionality -initially intended for iOS devices- that will allow users to synchronize the platform with Facebook to automatically share their status updates in the stories section of this social network.
Currently, this service, developed by Meta, allows you to post status updates on your other social network on Facebook, since it introduces the ‘Share to Facebook story’ button under the Status once a file has been shared this way.
By clicking on this option, the instant messaging platform offers the option to manually move that file to the profile photo, news section, Facebook groups or stories.
how it will work
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will automate this process for certain status updates, which will be disabled by default and has already begun testing on iOS, via version 23.7.0.75, released through the TestFlight beta program.
It introduces a new section in the Status Privacy Settings menu, which offers the option to ‘Share status updates across all accounts’ and allows you to enter a Facebook profile.
This has been verified by WABetaInfo, which has commented that this function “will allow users to save time and effort by manually sharing their status updates, since this will be shared as a Facebook story without leaving WhatsApp.”
Because it is a feature that the company is currently developing, it is not yet available for testers with iOS operating system devices.
