WhatsApp is an app that belongs to Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta. For this reason, in recent months we have seen that the WhatsApp beta app has several tools from other apps such as Messenger. For example, we can now react to comments in a chat with emojis.

In turn, WhatsApp announced three months ago that it was working on reactions in states via emojis. It was first enabled in the WhatsApp Desktop beta and is now coming to Android.

The WaBetainfo media reported that in patch 2.22.16.10 you can already leave reactions with emojis. They will offer you eight emojis, by default and in the part where you leave the message you can also add an extra one.

As you can see from this screenshot, WhatsApp plans to introduce 8 emojis to react to status updates: Smiling Face with Heart Eyes, Face with Tears of Joy, Face with Open Mouth, Crying Face, Folded Hands, Clapping Hands, Party Popper and Hundred Points”, details the mentioned medium.

For now, it is not known when it will reach iOS or the final version of WhatsApp, but it will be enabled gradually for those users of the beta version of WhatsApp.
