The famous instant messaging application WhatsApp is reportedly regarding to implement a new feature. This would consist of having a secret code for locked conversations.
WhatsApp, instant messaging owned by Meta, will soon evolve, particularly in terms of security. As reported by our colleagues from phoneandroidduring the latest update for Android 2.23.21.8, accessible via PlayStore, WhatsApp is working on new ways to access locked conversations.
WABetaInfo revealed in its latest report, a screenshot of the WhatsApp project, with this functionality allowing instant messaging users to configure a secret code for locked chats.
This new feature will allow an even higher level of security for their private conversations. Without the secret code, no other person will be able to read the conversations. It is specified in the WhatsApp report that it will be possible for users to synchronize chat passwords across all connected devices.
If this new feature is under development and should see the light of day in the next updates, it is impossible to know when it will appear. Same question regarding iOS which for the moment will not benefit from this functionality.
