WhatsApp wants to make it easier to send Status to Facebook

Popularized several years ago on Instagram (following being copied from Snapchat), Stories they are a real plague spread across basically all of Meta’s social networks, including Facebook and WhatsApp (under the name Status). In addition to expanding the function, the company has also been seeking to integrate it across its different networks.

This integration already exists between Instagram and Facebook, allowing you to send a post to both at the same time. Now, according to the WABetaInfoMeta is testing to apply it between WhatsApp and Facebook, so that you can share a WhatsApp Status on Facebook without leaving the app.

Until then, it is already possible to share WhatsApp Status on Facebook, although it is necessary to leave the messenger and go to the network app to accomplish the task. With the novelty in testing, however, the extra step should no longer be necessary, making it easier to share your posts from one app to another.

Users, however, will always be in control, as they will be able to decide which Statuses will be shared on both networks. The option to post to Facebook can also be deactivated at any time in the privacy section of WhatsApp (which will, it is worth noting, be deactivated by default).

The feature was found in beta version 23.7.0.75 of the messaging app. It is still under development and there is no prediction of when we will see it on WhatsApp, although this should happen in a future update.
