WhatsApp has introduced a new stable update for iOS. It is already available in the App Store, build number is 24.6.77, writes WABetaInfo.
The update brought several options. Most of them are aimed at those who like to watch and send videos in the messenger. WhatsApp developers describe these innovations as follows:
- You can quickly record and send video messages in chats. Tap and hold the camera icon next to a text field in a chat to start recording.
- You can rewind [ролик] forward or backward by double tapping the edge of the video.
The second option has been a long time coming. Its development first became known in November 2023, when the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.23.24.6 was released.
Thanks to the new video rewind feature, users can now easily navigate through received or sent videos, quickly finding the most important moments in them and skipping through less necessary parts of the recording. This saves time and improves navigation through video content.
Although the update has already been released and every iPhone owner can install it, the messenger team said that for some users the innovations will not appear immediately. “These features will be available in the coming weeks,” says the description for WhatsApp for iOS 24.6.77.
Earlier it became known that WhatsApp will receive a built-in AI photo editor. There is no such option in any messenger yet.
