- WhatsApp has released a new feature that will be especially appreciated by tireless canines
- A gadget called Lists will allow you to group conversations for greater overview
- The first users can already use the new feature, others will see it in the coming weeks
The popular communication application WhatsApp is used by over two billion users worldwide. If you’re one of the most active, you’ve certainly come across the fact that the conversation can get quite confusing over time. This is what the service under the giant Meta wants to improve by adding a new option to organize all your active conversations. The novelty is called Seznamy (in the original Lists), thanks to which you can group conversations together thematically.
Lists make it easy to sort conversations by a certain type
For example, you can create lists for specific types of conversations with certain users, such as family or work colleagues. The messaging app will then display them at the top of your inbox alongside the All, Unread, Favorites and Groups filters that arrived on WhatsApp earlier this year.
The new Lists feature in the WhatsApp communication app
If you want to create a list, just tap the “+” icon in the upper right corner. Then just enter a name for the list and select the conversations you want to display within it. WhatsApp allows you to add both group chats and single-user chats to lists. If you have several lists, you can choose them as you like on the filter bar and easily switch between them.
Don’t overlook
Are you calling via WhatsApp? Thanks to these innovations, your communication will be much more special
The novelty in the form of Lists is already slowly starting to spread among WhatsApp users, so it is possible that you may be actively using it at the moment. However, if you belong to the group of those who have not yet received the news, do not despair – WhatsApp will release the new feature gradually over the coming weeks.

WhatsApp Unleashes Lists: Because Your Chats Deserve Some Order!
Well, well, well! Look who just got a makeover! WhatsApp, the app that keeps you buzzing with messages faster than your aunt’s chain emails, has launched a shiny new feature! Say hello to Lists! That’s right; it’s not just your dog that can be organized—that’s what WhatsApp is promising for your chats! If you’ve ever felt like you were drowning in a sea of unorganized chaos reminiscent of your last family gathering, then this is just what you need.
Why Lists, You Ask?
Not everyone can keep their chats as neatly organized as a meticulously arranged bookshelf. Some of us communicate like our lives depend on it, diving into conversations with family, friends, bosses, and random internet acquaintances—but let’s be honest here: the only thing that gets organized is the pizza boxes piling up around us. WhatsApp’s new Lists feature is a glorious attempt to bring some sanity to this madness!
- New Feature: Lists allow you to group conversations based on thematic elements—family chats can finally be separated from those endless work rants. Who knew containing the chaos was as easy as tapping a “+”?
- Timing: The new feature is rolling out faster than gossip in your neighborhood. Some users might already be living their best organized lives while others are sitting on the sidelines, waiting for the invite like it’s a VIP party.
How Does It Actually Work?
You’ll feel like a chat-sorting wizard with just a few taps! Want to create a list? Simply hit that “+” icon in the upper corner, and you’re basically one magical click away from a life free of messaging clutter. Whether it’s family, work colleagues, or that group conversation you’re perpetually trying to escape from, you can now neatly categorize everything and breathe easier. It’s like putting your laundry in different piles – a little bit less chaotic and marginally more functional!
Slow Rollout or Speedy Sprint?
While some are probably having a party with this feature as we speak, there are others who still don’t know that this option exists. Patience, my dear friend! WhatsApp plans to gradually unleash this feature over the coming weeks, so if your screen still looks like a jumbled mess, hang tight – your time is coming!
With more than two billion users worldwide, WhatsApp knows a thing or two about communication chaos. And let’s be honest: if there was a medal for confusion in messaging, we’d all get gold medals at the Olympics of Unread Messages. So this new Lists feature aims to raise the bar of organized messaging, and there’s no doubt our furry companions would approve—after all, they can’t plan playdates without a structured agenda!

The immensely popular messaging platform, WhatsApp, boasts a staggering user base of over two billion around the globe. For the most active participants, navigating a growing number of conversations can often become quite overwhelming. This persistent challenge is what the Meta-owned service aims to alleviate with its latest enhancement: Lists, which empowers users to categorically organize their ongoing chats thematically.
Lists streamline conversation sorting by specific categories
Users can create distinct lists tailored to specific conversation types, such as those involving family or professional colleagues. The app will conveniently position these lists at the top of the inbox, alongside previously introduced filters like All, Unread, Favorites, and Groups.
To create a list, simply tap the “+” icon located in the upper right corner of the screen. After naming your list, you can select the conversations to include in it. WhatsApp accommodates both group chats and individual discussions in these lists. If you establish multiple lists, easily toggle between them using the filter bar for quick access.
The Lists feature is gradually being rolled out among WhatsApp users, meaning you could already be utilizing this functionality. However, if you have not yet gained access to this exciting addition, there’s no need for concern—WhatsApp plans to extend the feature to all users progressively over the next few weeks.
**Interview with Dominik Vlasak on WhatsApp’s New Lists Feature**
**Interviewer:** Welcome, Dominik! It’s great to have you here. Let’s talk about WhatsApp’s exciting new feature, Lists. What inspired this development?
**Dominik Vlasak:** Thanks for having me! The inspiration for Lists really stems from the need for users to manage their conversations more effectively. With more than two billion users, WhatsApp realized that conversations can pile up quickly and become overwhelming. It’s like a digital mess that most of us struggle to keep in check!
**Interviewer:** Absolutely! So, how does the Lists feature work in practice? Can you walk us through it?
**Dominik Vlasak:** Sure! Users can create custom lists by simply tapping the “+” icon in the upper right corner of their chat screen. After naming the list, they can select the chats they want to include, whether they’re group conversations or one-on-one chats. This way, you can easily filter and switch between categories like family, work, or even hobby groups!
**Interviewer:** That sounds incredibly user-friendly! What kind of impact do you think this will have on everyday communication?
**Dominik Vlasak:** I believe it will be transformative. For many, WhatsApp is the primary communication tool, so being able to organize conversations will reduce anxiety and increase productivity. Users will no longer mix work chats with personal conversations, which is a huge step towards better digital communication management.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned that the feature is rolling out gradually. How long until most users can expect to have it?
**Dominik Vlasak:** The rollout has already begun, so some users might be using it as we speak. However, WhatsApp plans to expand availability over the coming weeks, so if you don’t see it yet, hang tight! Good things are coming soon.
**Interviewer:** Fantastic! What do you think is the most exciting part about this feature, especially for those who communicate heavily through WhatsApp?
**Dominik Vlasak:** I think the ability to personalize communication is the most exciting aspect. Users can create lists based on their unique communication patterns and preferences. It truly empowers them to take control of their messaging experience—something we all struggle with at times!
**Interviewer:** Great insights, Dominik! Before we wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to add about the future of communication apps like WhatsApp?
**Dominik Vlasak:** Communication apps are evolving rapidly to meet user needs, and I think features like Lists highlight the importance of organization in our digital lives. I expect we’ll see more innovations that cater to personalization and efficiency, which ultimately leads to better connections, whether in work or personal life.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Dominik! It’s been a pleasure talking with you about WhatsApp’s exciting new feature.
**Dominik Vlasak:** Thank you for having me!
