WhatsApp is testing group calls with up to 32 people. The information came through the WABetaInfo website, where was it said that the beta version of WhatsApp now supports 32 people in calls instead of 15 participants, as it currently is. Until July this year, this number was even smaller and limited to just 7 participants on the call.

In WhatsApp beta version 2.23.19.16, it was discovered in the calls tab that the instant calling app now supports 32 participants. Instead of displaying call links, the screen just shows a list of which people you can call. Furthermore, the call button that was located at the bottom right of the screen has been replaced by the “+” symbol.
In addition to the increase in the number of participants per call, there was also a change in the format and position of the WhatsApp tabs, which are now at the bottom of the screen and have new icons for each of them. These changes are present in the beta version of WhatsApp on the Play Store, the Android application store.

At the time support for calls with 14 people at the same time on WhatsApp was announced, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said that the development of the system to increase this number to 32 participants was already taking place. Previously, beta testers who received the new feature in advance said they were unable to start a call with so many members, but in the latest version of the application, it was possible to add 31 contacts to the group call.
Launch and availability
As support for 32 participants in calls is still in the testing (beta) version of WhatsApp, it is not known exactly when the feature will be made available to the general public in the stable version of the application.
