WhatsApp tests news for Communities and Status

Not only to create new resources lives the team of WhatsAppwhich also works on improvements to features already available.

In this sense, the messenger has been testing increments for the Communitieslaunched in Brazil at the end of January, and also in Status (for corporate users), as we will see in detail below.

Communities

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is planning some changes to the interface of groups inserted in Communities in order to make it more user-friendly. Among them, the messenger will rename the ad group to “Updates” on iOS; on Android, the term used is “Home”.

Also, to improve the interface and maintain consistency with other chats, WhatsApp will relocate the community icon from the bottom bar to the chat header.

Finally, the messenger also aims to improve the experience for Community admins by fixing several bugs.

Status

On the Status side, WhatsApp wants to encourage more business users to incorporate the tool into their businesses by implementing a shortcut that will allow them to easily access the option to advertise a Status on Facebook, as also seen by WABetaInfo.

Testes dos Status do WhatsApp Business

The new shortcut will appear below the button for sharing a new Status, so you can continue to Facebook to edit the ad and description, as well as set how long the business wants it to run. The option will also let you send a Status to Instagram — however, only a handful of testers have seen this option so far.

As usual, there are no indications of when the news will be made available to everyone, as they are still in the testing stages. So let’s wait.
