According to Xatakandroid, the messaging service has become unusable on these phones since Tuesday, October 24. This means that two versions of Android are being discontinued. Android 4.1 and 4.4. In itself, the end of support should only affect a very small portion of users. As a reminder, version 4.1 of Android was released in 2012 and version 4.4 in 2014. That is 11 and 9 years ago. To date, phones using these operating systems represent less than 1% of active Android smartphones.
