WhatsApp prohibits screenshots of contact photos; this is the new function

According to the WABetaInfo report, this feature prevents taking screenshots of your contacts’ profile photos. When you open the photo and want to take a capture, The application throws a message that says:

And although WhatsApp has not yet revealed details of the update and the reason why it has implemented it, it is very likely that its wishes are protect users from cybercriminals and prevent them from falling into scams or being victims of identity theft.
