WhatsApp is working on cross-device features so we can log in to our account from more than one mobile device at the same time. That is, we can use WhatsApp on two mobiles at the same time. Thus, the accompanying mode (or complementary mode) will allow users to link a secondary mobile device to the account without the need to have an active internet connection in the main terminal to send messages.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging app is working on the chat history synchronization between mobile devices. This means that we will be able to read and send messages at the same time from more than one mobile at the same time in a similar way to how we already do it with the desktop version of the platform, WhatsApp Web.

How does WhatsApp companion mode work?
When a user logs into WhatsApp from a secondary mobile device, your chats are copied to the companion device. This process may take a while to complete, so the interface will display the same system message that appears in WhatsApp while messages are being loaded to warn that old chats are being loaded.
At the moment there is no release date. Nevertheless, the feature is already in developmentso soon beta testers will be able to test it, as well as the option of edit whatsapp messages.
