On WhatsApp, it is possible to prevent certain conversations from being displayed unless you use a very specific method of identification: your fingerprint.
To lock a conversation on WhatsApp, you must first make sure that the conversation in question is linked to one of your contacts. If this is not the case, save the number of your interlocutor so you want to hide the conversation in your contacts.
Click on the conversation, and on the conversation settings (the three little dots at the top left if you are on Android). If you’re on iOS, you’ll have to slide the tab to the left before finding the three dots.
Then press “show contact”, you will then be redirected to a new page showing you the parameters of this contact as well as the documents and media shared by them. Scroll down the page a little, and you will find the option: “Conversation lock”.
Tap it, and click “Lock this chat with a fingerprint”. Once this is done, when you log in to WhatsApp, all you have to do is click on “locked conversations” and present your fingerprint to gain access.
