WhatsApp launches custom avatars for everyone

O WhatsApp released yet another update for its app on iOS and, as usual, listed several new features. Some of them, however, have been released for some time and others have not yet reached all users, as they are made available gradually.

The first novelty listed referred to the custom avatarswhich can be added to the profile picture or used as stickers (stickers). They had been released in December, but only now did the company list them in the update. If you haven’t already done so, you can create one at Settings » Avatar.

Another novelty that arrived in January was the possibility of drag photos, videos or documents from apps like Safari, Photos and Files and drop them directly into WhatsApp.

For some unknown reason, the last changelog it also lists features that have been with us for a long time, such as the option to undo the “Delete for me” action (released since September) and the option to control who exactly views your “Last seen and online” (available for basically six months). To change to “All”, “My Contacts”, “My Contacts Except” or “Nobody”, go to Settings » Privacy.

Finally, a feature that is not yet appearing for everyone, but is already listed in the update, is the possibility of recording videos without holding the recording button. To do this, just open the camera in WhatsApp and swipe left.

Update your app and tell us in the comments if you received the news. ????
