WhatsApp emphasizes the significance of its voice message transcripts, particularly in noisy environments where listening to audio may not be feasible. These transcripts are generated directly on the user’s device, ensuring maximum privacy with end-to-end encryption that keeps the data secure and prevents sharing with WhatsApp.
Users of WhatsApp can easily enable or disable the transcript feature by navigating to Settings > Chats > Voice Message Transcripts. Additionally, they can choose their preferred language for transcription. To transcribe a voice message, users simply need to long-press the message and select the “transcribe” option from the menu provided.
This innovative voice message transcript feature has been in testing with beta users for several months.
