WhatsApp has introduced a new feature for its users that will ‘mute’ any chat forever.
This feature will be useful for users who are fed up with spam messages from people or groups.
This feature called Always Mute has been in the works for the past several months and has now been rolled out to all users.
With the help of this feature users will be able to mute any contact or group notification forever.
Earlier, WhatsApp gave 3 mute options to users who were bothered by constant notification of a group or contact, with the help of which the notification might be muted for 8 hours, a week or a year.
But now it is possible to mute any chat forever.
In a tweet, WhatsApp announced the introduction of this new feature, which is clearly aimed at increasing the awareness among users that they should be careful while sending their messages or their friend or acquaintance might mute them forever.

In this new feature, the one-year option has been replaced by Always or Allways.
To use this feature, open WhatsApp and hold the desired chat for a while, following which select the mute icon in the top bar.
After doing this, the options of 8 Hours, One Week and All Ways will appear, from which you have to select your choice and click OK.
After doing this, notifications for that particular chat can be muted forever.
However, if the user wants to restore, he has to press the chat once more for some time and click on the menu or speaker icon.
By the way, if you are worried regarding people adding you to WhatsApp groups, you can enable a feature in the group privacy settings so that only certain people can add you to a new group.
Enabling this feature will cause users to receive an invitation to a group and not be able to add them directly.
To use this feature, open WhatsApp and go to settings, go to Account and then go to Groups in the Privacy option and choose an option from Everyone, My Contacts or My Contacts Accept.
