O WhatsApp finally is making available a new feature that allows you to start new conversations by search phone number of a particular person — even if that person is not in your contact list, as released by WABetaInfo.
Over time, the messenger has improved the option of opening new chats with “unknown” people – whether by link, QR code and sharing contact cards –, but users have always faced certain limitations when trying to start a conversation with someone without first saving your contact information.
As you can see in the image below, WhatsApp will look outside your contacts list every time you enter an unknown phone number into the app.
Specifically, you have to tap the button to start a new conversation (in the top right corner of the conversations tab) and type a phone number into the search bar.
The novelty is already being released for users with the latest versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android.
