WhatsApp for Windows 11 will gain support for creating call links

The native WhatsApp app was released on the Microsoft Store in 2022 and now Windows users will get a new major update to Meta’s (formerly Facebook) instant messaging app. The app has been gaining several new features since last year, including the dedicated call button, where all incoming and outgoing calls are recorded.

In the new update made available for the beta version of WhatsApp on the Microsoft Store, a “call links” feature has been implemented. If you have an Android cell phone with WhatsApp installed, you may have already noticed this feature, which allows the user to invite people to a call by sharing links. Anyone who has access to the link can join a voice or video call and even leave and join multiple times at will.

When the call link creation feature becomes available to everyone, you will be able to access it from the Calls tab (tab), which is located in the vertical column on the left side of the WhatsApp window. When accessing the calls section in the app, there will be a button called “Create a call link”.

Improved dark mode in the stable version of WhatsApp for Windows

The stable version of WhatsApp for Windows 11 gained, following its most recent update, an improvement to dark mode, which communicates more with the operating system’s interface. Soon the application will also gain the option to edit messages, but it is not yet known when this will occur.
