In a new beta version released this Thursday, WhatsApp for Android now brings an important design change to the application’s home screen.
According to the folks at WABetaInfo, version 2.23.18.18 removed the header in green color and now only the name of the application uses this shade, something that makes the interface even cleaner.
See below that the name of the application is now the only element in green at the top of the screen, and the filters have also been relocated for easier access.
Another interesting detail is that the WhatsApp name font has also been changed, while the filter buttons are also more prominent.
In the dark theme, the change was also applied, but we still don’t have a completely black theme, but something close to gray.
For now, the improvement is being tested with a limited number of users within the WhatsApp beta channel. Therefore, we know that not everyone will be able to experience this improvement, and it may also take time to be publicly released.
Still, it is interesting to note that WhatsApp has been listening to public feedback and releasing tweaks, such as a new interface for iOS and also permission to send photos or videos in original quality.
