WhatsApp: application has become an ally of companies as a sales strategy

A survey carried out by the American business consulting company McKinsey in early 2021 points out that Brazilian consumers are increasingly demanding. To meet the needs of customers, companies need to resort to new technologies and when it comes to customer service, the use of WhatsApp along with the use of chatbots and digital platforms as a conversational marketing strategy facilitates the relationship between company and customer.

The result of a study commissioned by Panorama Mobile Time in partnership with Opinion, shows that the WhatsApp is installed in 99% of Brazilian smartphones. This means that, more than ever, it is necessary to be aware of the technological advances in the market and invest in new digital sales strategies.

Emergence of new digital platforms

Digital sales made with the help of platforms that can support customer service are able to boost business, whether in retail or wholesale companies. It was with this in mind that the startup My Digital Catalog created a virtual product showcase, where it is possible to make WhatsApp a true sales channel and not just a messaging application. That’s what Startup’s CTO and co-founder Miquéias Santos explains. “With the platform, it is possible to catalog products and create a type of virtual store in which the company maintains a direct relationship with the customer through the integration of other platforms, such as WhatsApp”, says Miquéias.

Conversational Marketing as a Strategy

Another way to boost sales is to use conversational marketing, a strategy that uses technologies such as artificial intelligence in automated conversations. These conversations can be made with messages from chatbots, which reproduce real and humanized dialogues.

Automated conversations on WhatsApp have the 24-hour service as a differential, even if the shopkeeper is offline. Companies that use this format manage to make sales in a longer period of time, unlike companies that do not yet have this type of service, directly influencing sales results.

Big brands like Bradesco, Natura and Duolingo use this strategy of marketing. To apply this strategy, it may be necessary to check the WhatsApp modalities available for this type of automatic conversation that goes beyond the quick responses already known in WhatsApp Business.

Boosting Sales with WhatsApp Business

One lifting carried out by Decode, a company that develops solutions in data analytics, big data and data driven marketing, showed that WhatsApp Business, a platform aimed at micro and small companies, registered around 12 million downloads between January and July 2020 and moves around 4.7 million active monthly users in Brazil.

This data proves how much the platform has been driving business across the country, facilitating and boosting sales in the digital environment. Taking advantage of all the functions and resources that the application provides is strategically benefiting from each of these functionalities to innovate and invest in means that promote a more agile, personalized and functional service.
