A new Pride Celebration wallpaper
Even if this version does not reveal many new features, it seems that Apple is tweaking its content and the quality of the user experience on its streaming platform. In particular, it will be possible to ask Siri to start a video recording of the screen!
Added to this is a small novelty for owners of an Apple Watch. In effect, the new Pride Celebration watch face and iPhone wallpaper will be available next week and requires watchOS 9.5 and iOS 16.5.

In previous versions of iOS, users were able to ask Siri to take a screenshot, but it was not possible at the screen recording level. This function necessarily implied going through a manipulation (via the control screen).
In this first iOS 16.5 beta, you can simply use the command This Series
and ask him to record the screen. And conversely to tell him to stop doing it. After a few tries, the function is rather capricious to launch. For the moment, there is not yet a dedicated Shortcut, but it should logically happen.

For those with access to the app, Apple News (that we will never have in France…), moved the Sports tab to be in the center of the bottom navigation bar (with Today and News+ on the left, Audio and Following on the right). This change might also indicate Apple’s desire to position itself in the Sport segment (apart from Apple TV+) or simply to take into account user preferences.
And iOS 16.6 in all this?
According to our American colleagues, Apple has started testing iOS 16.6 internally. It must be said that it is the last straight line, since in three weeks, the Apple WWDC will be heldduring which it will present its next systems: iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14. In view of the calendar, iOS 16.6 will probably be one of the last updates of the current system before the arrival of iOS 17.
Many security fixes
iOS 16.5 finally includes many security patches. In total, there are 39 vulnerabilities fixed in the latest update and Apple notes that three of them have been reported as actively exploited. Note two benefited from a correction with the Rapid Security Response of iOS 16.4.1 (a) on May 1st.
But these flaws weren’t just for the iPhone.. While iOS had the most at 39, macOS also had it with Safari 16.5, watchOS 9.5 and tvOS 16.5 also include important security updates.
