The date is historic for the Beninese authorities. This Friday, February 17 marks the official launch of digital terrestrial television in Benin, a flagship project of the program d’action of the government of Patrice Talon. The country, like most states in sub-Saharan Africa, made a commitment in 2006 to switch from analogue to digital terrestrial broadcasting in 2015. A deadline then postponed until 2020.
