The second season of the Netflix SERIES Gyeongseong Creature has aired starting September 27. In the second season, the story will shift from the chaotic spring of 1945 to the busy streets of Seoul in 2024.
This continuation of the story further ties together the fates of Jang Tae-sang and Yoon Chae-ok and makes a dramatic time jump, as revealed in the first season’s post-credit teaser.
In the new trailer, a character named Ho-jae, who bears a striking resemblance to Jang Tae-sang, turns around revealing a mysterious scar and the setting changes to 2024 Seoul.
“The second season presents a story with a completely different charm. “Changes in space and time will provide clear differences, offering the feel of a wider universe,” said director Chung Dong-yoon, quoted from the Tudum Netflix page, Friday (27/9).
Gyeongseong Creature combines historical drama and strong mystery. The first season, set in early 1945, when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule, and centered on two young adults who encounter strange creatures born of greed, and then have to fight for survival in the city of Gyeongseong – now known as Seoul.
However, there may be something more dangerous out there than those creatures. A mystery that was never revealed in the second season, which is set in 2024 in Seoul. (M-3)
