The National Energy Regulatory Entity (ENRE) approved the new rate charts that will come into force on June 1 for residential users of Edesur and Edenor of levels 1, 2 and 3, as established in resolutions 423/2023 and 424/2023 published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette.

For him level 1the one with the highest income, the average increase will be 36%; for him level 3of average income, will be 24%; and in the Level 2low-income users, there will be no increases.

One by one, all the increases that come in June

In relation to the table in force until this Wednesday, May 31, the average rate of the residential category of level 1 increases on average one 11% in both distributors, but for general users (G1) the increase is 41% in Edenor and 38% in Edesur, for general users G2 is 32% y 29% respectively, and for the G3 of 27% y 24%.

On the other hand, the invoices of the SME users (T2) increase on average 26% in Edenor and 22% in Edesur; those of the big users (T3) low and medium voltage do it between 23% y 13% in the northern area of ​​AMBA and between 20% y 9% in the area on.

The large users of the distributor, with demands greater than 300 kilowatts (kW) increased by 12% in low voltage in both distributors, and in medium voltage by 6% in Edenor and 5% in Edesur.

What is the average cost?

Average pre-tax bills rise on average 36% in the two companies.

ENRE stressed that “users of the Level 2 would pay on average 64% less than those of 1in the case of Edenor, and a 63% any less in the one of Edesur”.

In addition, it indicated that “for the Public Welfare Entities and for the calculation of the social rate, they must take into account the rate chart that corresponds to level 2”.

In the case of level 3with respect to the current table, the average increase will be 24%, in both distributors.

Thus, these users, until the R4would pay on average a 66% less than those of level 1with this percentage decreasing as consumption increases until reaching the 11% average.

The resolution also specified that, with these new charts, Edenor’s average rate is in the order of $21,855 per kWh, and that of Edesur, in $21,379.
