For those who already have diabetes, eating breakfast is important to balance blood glucose levels, and consuming lean protein and healthy sources of fat is key to this.

The AARP portal made a list of breakfasts that contain all the ingredients for those who suffer from diabetes or are predisposed to it.

According to this portal, this breakfast provides 270 calories, 15 grams of total fat, 4.5 grams of saturated fat, 510 milligrams of sodium, 19 grams of total carbohydrates, 5 grams of dietary fiber, and 3 grams of sugars.

Oatmeal is considered by many to be one of the must-have breakfast items because it is rich in fiber and helps maintain blood sugar levels. Additionally, it contains antioxidants that reduce chronic inflammation associated with cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Nutritionists also recommend the consumption of fruits to start the day with more energy, for this, a recommended breakfast is a cup of Greek yogurt, a cup of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries and eight almonds.

According to information published in the magazine Advances in Nutrition ensure that there is a link between yogurt and reduced chances of suffering from type 2 diabetes, while other studies recommend the consumption of low-fat yogurt to avoid the risk of suffering from the disease.
