  • Make sure the accessory or peripheral you want to connect is close to the device. The maximum Bluetooth range is regarding 10 meters.
  • Manually deactivate Bluetooth in the device’s settings and activate it once more.
  • Make sure the Bluetooth device is fully charged and try connecting once more.
  • Check if the product is compatible with Apple’s operating systems — some specific mice or keyboards, for example, are for exclusive use in the Windows world.
  • If the peripheral in question (such as a mouse or keyboard) can also be used via a cable, physically connect the device to verify that the device is actually working.
  • If you previously connected the accessory to a device (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or Apple TV), try unpairing and connecting once more.
  • Contact the manufacturer of the product you want to connect to the Apple device to verify that there is not a more specific problem.
  • Test connecting other Bluetooth accessories to see if the problem is with a specific product or if the issue is occurring with the Apple device.
  • Restart your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or Apple TV. Then try once more.
  • For Macs, try resetting Bluetooth.
  • On iPhone or iPad, reset Network Settings. This can be done by going to Settings » General » Transfer or Reset iPhone [ou iPad] » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
