Abbott said in a statement that “the Biden Administration’s decision to end Title 42 removals and the Remain in Mexico (MPP) policy has led to historic levels of illegal crossings, with 5,000 migrants apprehended over the weekend of July 4, creating a border crisis that has engulfed communities along the border and across Texas.”
