What snowy mountain does this plane fly over? The Alps? Perhaps the Pyrenees?… Well, no, it is a spectacular postcard of the last snowfall, 48 hours ago, captured from Gavà, in Baix Llobregat.

We can see the Garraf massif covered in snow, with the plane flying over the mountain in the direction of El Prat airport. Beautiful snapshot that I captured from the agricultural area of Gavà.

I think that this image is worth seeing and always keeping in our minds, since it is historical. Very rarely can you enjoy this perspective with the Garraf massif so snow-covered that it looks like the Alps. Until last minute last night, the snow was holding thanks to the intense cold that we have had in recent days.

The Garraf massif is located in the Catalan Coastal mountain range. It occupies a triangular area between the Llobregat valley, the Penedès depression and the Mediterranean.

It forms a set of low mountains. Orographically it goes from sea level to 593 meters from the top of La Morella.

The Garraf massif loses height to the west and disappears near Vendrell, where the coastal depression is limited by the sea.
