Alan Shearer, the English Premier League legend, launched a sharp attack on the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, stating that what the latter is doing is “unacceptable” and that he does nothing for the team.
Liverpool were wishing themselves to return to the Premier League by winning following the end of the international break, but they tied with their guest Brighton 3-3 in a match that starred striker Leandro Trossard, who scored a “hat-trick” while Salah continued his lackluster levels that began during the current season.
Alan Shearer, the top scorer in the English Premier League throughout history, said in his statements to the “Match of the Day” program: “Salah does not pressure the opponent, he has to take care of his physical fitness instead of pressing the opponent in that way, he does nothing for the team.”
And he continued: It is repeated over and over once more from Salah, this is unacceptable for a player wearing a Liverpool shirt, he has to be better at it.
Shearer focused on two shots in which Salah was slow to put pressure on Webster, who was able to easily beat Salah.
Salah, 30, has only scored twice in seven matches with Liverpool this season, compared to a goal in two Champions League matches.
