The new player on the RCA market, Easy Asigurări, part of the investment division D Craig Holding, controlled by Sacha Dragic, the boss of Superbet, and his wife Augusta Dragic, will sell car civil liability insurance (RCA), but does not want to insure liability as well car carriers for possible losses or damages to the transported goods (CMR). In addition, it will sell CASCO for cars, but not for trains, trams or subways.

The information appears in the authorization decision given by the ASF to this company, a document published on Monday in the Official Gazette
The ASF decision states that the new company was authorized to carry out general insurance activities for the following risks and classes of insurance, provided in section A — General insurance, from annex no. 1 to Law no. 237/2015:
1. class 10 risks — automobile civil liabilityfor the use of motor land vehicles, except at the risk of the carrier;
2. class 1 risks — accidentsincluding work accidents and occupational diseases:
- a) fixed financial compensations;
- b) variable financial compensation;
- c) combination of the compensations from letter a) and b);
- d) compensation for bodily injuries suffered by passengers;
3. class 2 risks — health:
- a) fixed financial compensations;
- b) variable financial compensation;
- c) combination of the compensations from letter a) and b);
4. class 3 risks (not CASCO) – land vehicles, excluding railway rolling stock, which covers damages or losses related to:
- a) motor vehicles;
- b) other vehicles;
5. class 8 risks — fire and natural calamitieswhich covers damage or loss related to goods, other than those mentioned in classes 3-7, caused by:
- a) fire;
- b) explosion;
- c) storm and other natural calamities;
- d) nuclear energy;
- e) subsidence and landslides;
6. class 9 risks — other damages or losses related to other goods than those mentioned in classes 3-7, caused by:
- a) hail;
- b) frost;
- c) furt;
- d) other events, not covered by class 8;
7. risks from class 13 — general civil liability.
A new player in the RCA market: Easy Insurance, controlled by the Dragic family / Shareholders came with over 7 million euros
The Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) on Tuesday authorized the operation of a new player on the RCA market: Easy Insurance. The firm is part of the investment division D Craig Holding, controlled by Sacha Dragic, the boss of Superbet, and his wife Augusta Dragic.
According to HotNews.ro information, the president of the Board of Directors was approved Theodore Alexandrescuthe former managing director of the former AIG Life (later Alico, and currently Metropolitan Life), and the executive director was advised Dan Filip, former financial director in NN Romania and later NN Holland.
At the request of HotNews.ro, the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) stated that the significant shareholder of Eazy Asigurări is the company D Craig Holding, which, in turn, has Sacha Dragic and Augusta Dragic as significant shareholders.
- “In today’s meeting, the Council of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) authorized Alexandrescu Theodor for the position of president of the Board of Directors of the aforementioned company.
- Also, Dan Filip was authorized for the position of executive director and member of the Board of Administration.
- The company Eazy Asigurări has been authorized to practice the most important lines of general insurance, including CASCO, home insurance or health insurance. As ASF announced in the press release, the Council of the Authority also granted the authorization to practice RCA insurance.
- The social capital paid by the shareholders amounts, at this moment, to approximately 35.5 million lei.”, ASF officials told HotNews.ro at the time.
After the withdrawal of the Euroins license, on March 31, 2023, six insurers authorized by ASF for RCA insurance activities operated on the insurance market, respectively: Allianz-Ţiriac, Asirom VIG, Generali, Grawe, Groupama and Omniasig VIG.
On the RCA market in Romania, two branches still operate under the right of establishment: Axeria IARD and Hellas Direct.
