The public was disappointed in their favorite hero.
Shurik, performed by Alexander Demyanenko, appears in three famous comedies by Leonid Gaidai. The famous character is rightfully considered one of the most popular in Soviet cinema. At the same time, not all viewers notice that Shurik can hardly be called a positive hero.
The fact is that in extreme situations he is ready for very controversial actions. So, in the short story “Obsession” from the film “Operation Y”, he gives a defenseless kitten to an aggressive dog to be torn to pieces in order to get out of the entrance. Shurik, as the authors of the Zen channel write “Citizen”it doesn’t bother me that the animal most likely will not survive a confrontation with a dog.
Shurik also actively courted Nina in “Prisoner of the Caucasus,” but did not even intend to marry her. The girl became a kind of holiday romance for him, because in the next film he is married to a completely different chosen one.
And because of all these actions, as Internet users are sure, Shurik definitely cannot be called the positive hero that many viewers are accustomed to considering him.
