On May 1, the Ministry of Digital Development will submit to the Ministry of Defense a generalized list of young specialists from IT companies who are granted a deferment from the army. The deferment is granted to young people under 27 with higher education and experience in IT companies for at least one year. If the specialist has been working for less than a year, then the deferment is valid if he graduated from the university a year before the date of appointment.
The government also approved the list of university specialties and areas of study that would qualify for deferment. There are more than 60 of them, including mathematics, applied computer science, cartography and geoinformatics, radio engineering, electronics and nanoelectronics, robotics, aircraft building, shipbuilding and others.
The lists for the Ministry of Digital Development were formed by IT companies themselves, and the Ministry of Defense will create final lists, according to which the military registration and enlistment offices will draw up a deferment.
The maximum amount of one transfer in the Fast Payment System has been increased to 1 million rubles (previously it was 600 thousand rubles). Now users will be able to pay for goods and services without commission for larger amounts.
