“This young girl only had the strength to stand, she looked desperate as she held her baby in her arms,” said Frankie Aguilar, the owner of El Patron restaurant. She asked restaurant customers and staff for help, telling them she “just found” this baby in critical condition as he was struggling to breathe.
And because the world is small, Alease Scott, a restaurant customer with knowledge of CPR, took the initiative to rescue the baby by asking the teen mom to check the baby’s vital signs.
Kind Scott, who was peacefully eating at the restaurant with her boyfriend at the time of the incident, told ABC7 news agency that the teen easily handed over the baby to her as she fled while she was focused on the baby. She therefore called the police who quickly responded by bringing back an oxygen device as well as medical equipment to help the baby breathe.
“What a joy to see the baby finally cry, move, open his eyes, then close them and above all suck the mask he was so hungry, poor thing,” added Scott.
