The controversy concerning the reliability of the electoral register continues to cause salivation. Like several political leaders, the Minister of Tourism Mame Mbaye Niang gave his point of view on this situation.
For Mame Mbaye Niang, “For the first time, the opposition has decided to contact the President of the Republic by mail. They did not call for demonstrations or to break or create instability. I think this is the right method…” The Minister of Tourism believes “ that the truth must be reestablished” .

Continuing her argument, Mame Mbaye Niang declares: “ there was no manipulation of the file or targeting a particular person to eliminate them or not… What is true is that the Electoral Code requires the election organizer to give the file ten days before the elections . Which was the case in 2019. So, by making available to candidates in the presidential elections, local elections and the last legislative elections, the agents received the files to be able to control sponsorships…”
To believe it, “Discussions are inevitable to find solutions to these problems. I remain convinced that the President of the Republic as (the opposition) said in their letters is the keystone of the institutions. He cannot not be sensitive to this problem…”
