Famous actor Sohail Ahmed’s new Punjabi film ‘Babe Pingra Pandey’ is going to release in Pakistan on October 5. Indian Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh as the hero and Sargan Mehta as the heroine along with Sohail Ahmed are showing the essence of their acting in this film.
In the story of the film, the hero shares various money-making ideas with his friends and then he decides to adopt an elderly father and make money from an insurance policy.
The heroine of the film, who works in an old-age home, becomes part of the hero’s plan. Sohail Ahmed has played the role of a sick father in this film.
Regarding this film, Sohail Ahmed said in a special conversation with Independent Urdu: ‘This is my first Punjabi film. It is my first Punjabi film in which the new era is going.’
The film is made in Canada and produced by Canadians. His name is Diljit Thand and Thand Movie is his company under the banner of which he has made films before.
Sohail Ahmad says: ‘Since I belong to the land of Punjab and I am the blood of the father of Punjabi. Babaye Punjabi Dr. Faqir Muhammad Faqir was my maternal grandfather, that’s why I love Punjabi.’
According to Sohail Ahmed, one of his dear friends is Hamad Chaudhry who releases international films in Pakistan. Hamad Chaudhry is also the executive producer of this film.
Sohail Ahmed said that when he asked for the film several times, he apologized to Hamad Chaudhry.
He said that one of his friends, Pawan Gill, who is an international distributor and also a filmmaker, said that he did not have to do this script except Sohail Ahmed.
‘When they told me that Diljit Dosanjh is the hero of this film, the truth is that I am a big fan of him. The whole world is his fan now, especially the youth are very fond of him, and since I am fortunate to be among the youth, I have accepted him again.’

Regarding the experience of working with Indian actors, Sohail Ahmed said: ‘The picture I had of Diljit Dosanjji in my mind turned out to be more colorful than this picture. Therefore, I think that this film will get a great success.’

Sohail Ahmed said: ‘I could never have imagined that a Punjabi film would be given so much importance, in terms of its production, technology and finance, they have left no stone unturned and they have made a very good film.’
If Sohail Ahmed will be a part of such a collaboration again, he said in response to this question: ‘Somewhere I see beautiful art that will increase the honor of my country.
