Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will not only play in Saudi Arabia for the Al-Nasr team, which he joined a while ago, but a second mission awaits him as well.
As Ronaldo will receive more than 400 million euros during his stay in Saudi Arabia, including 200 million euros to be an ambassador for the Kingdom’s joint Gulf bid to host the 2030 World Cup, according to a source close to his new club told “Agence France Presse”.
The source indicated that “CR7” will receive more than 200 million euros in its sports contract until 2025 as a player for Al-Nassr, in addition to 200 million euros to be an ambassador for the joint Saudi file with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup.
The source said, “Ronaldo will get 200 million euros as a player for Al-Nassr (nicknamed in Saudi Arabia as” Al-Alamy “because it was the first club to represent Asia in the Club World Cup in 2000).”
He added, “He will also be an ambassador for the Saudi file for the 2030 World Cup, in exchange for another 200 million euros.”
The source also revealed that the Public Investment Fund, the Saudi sovereign wealth fund, contributed to financing the deal.
