To enter the USA Peruvians need to present a visa. This document must be requested at the Embassy of the North American country in Lima and a procedure must be carried out before attending the appointment with the consul.
The first thing you should do to start your visa process is USA for the first time is to know what the type of visa that you want to request. Remember that there are several types depending on what is going to be done. Once that is decided, the following requirements must be taken into account.
– Be Peruvian by birth.
– Have a passport in order and valid for up to six months following the date on which the trip is planned.
– Have strong ties with the country and you guarantee that they will return.
How to process the visa?
1) Fill out the DS-160 form. It is a format that you can complete online with your personal data to apply for the visa.
2) Pay the visa application fee (MRV). It costs USD 160 and you have to go to any Scotiabank agency. The amount is not refundable.
3) Schedule an appointment at the embassy. When the payment has already been processed, access the Visa Information Service page once more and verify the date of your interview with the consular officer.
4) Introduce yourself to the consular interview. Do not forget that the procedure is face-to-face and personal, so you must arrive minutes before the scheduled time.
5) Receive your American visa. If the application has been approved, they will attach the visa to your passport.
