Mounir Nasraoui, father of FC Barcelona player Lamine Yamal, was stabbed on August 14 and is out of danger, although he remains hospitalized in the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital in Badalona, with two wounds in the abdomen.

Yamal’s family went to the hospital after the incident to check on Mounir Nasroui, although the player did not go due to the media uproar that would have been expected.

Nasraoui was attacked with a knife while walking his dog in a parking lot in the Rocafonda neighborhood of Mataró, Barcelona.

Arrest of suspects
The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested four people since the incident for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of Nasraoui.
A video recorded on August 13 by local residents is circulating on social media, showing an intervention by the Mataró Local Police following an altercation between several men and Mounir Nasraoui, who appears to explain to the officers that they had attacked him.
Hours after this incident, Nasraoui was stabbed, so it is suspected that the knife attack was related to the previous fight.
The Mataró Local Police reported that they received a report of a fight in a parking lot on Pintor Rafel Estrany Street and, upon arriving at the scene, they found that a person had been injured by a knife.
Since then, the Mossos d’Esquadra have taken over the investigation of the events and managed to identify and arrest the people linked to the initial fight to investigate whether they are involved in the attack against the player’s father.

Lamine Yamal, currently a FC Barcelona player, became internationally known thanks to his debut at Euro 2024, which was held in Germany.
