In the Crimea once more state of emergency. On August 16, there was a fire at the transformer station and explosions at the ammunition depot.
Sergei Aksenov, Head of the Republic of Crimea:
— The cause of today’s state of emergency was sabotage. In this case, we already understand what is happening. We have evacuated more than 3,000 people from the settlements of Mayskoye and Azovskoye, Dzhankoy district. There are two officially injured today: one person with a shrapnel wound and one with mild bodily injuries.
Explosions damaged the railroad. The tracks have been restored, but traffic will resume later.

– It is possible to resume railway traffic, however, we decided to limit traffic due to the proximity of the branch to the detonation site. All trains stop in Vladislavovka, Kirovsky district, respectively, passengers of trains that were supposed to depart from Simferopol will be brought to Vladislavovka.
Earlier, a series of explosions occurred in Novofedorivka. Here too, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, ammunition detonated. 14 citizens were injured, one person died.
