The German health information portal reported that hand, foot and mouth disease “u ,uuu “is a disease of children caused by enteroviruses.

The portal explained that this disease is transmitted through direct contact with mucus or feces of the infected person, noting that its symptoms are fever and the appearance of blisters on the hand, foot, oral cavity, tongue and gums.

The portal added that the hand, foot and mouth disease is treated by antipyretic drugs and analgesics taking into account drinking fluids frequently, stressing the need for the child to stay at home and not go to kindergarten or school to avoid the spread of infection, and take into account not to use any items – such as towels – jointly.

The portal also stressed the need to treat this disease urgently to avoid serious complications, which may entail, namely encephalitis, meningitis and paralysis, which mimic neurological manifestations in poliomyelitis.
