What is Facebook’s advanced protection and why should you activate it?

Facebook has implemented an extra measure that is now mandatory for some Facebook accounts and is called Advanced Protection.

The feature has a deadline and if it is not activated, you could lose access to your account, so here we will tell you how to activate it.

This new feature was implemented for users who have many followers, manage important pages or are relevant in the community.

According to Facebook, this measure should be activated if the user’s account has the potential to reach many people, because hackers often attack these accounts and this way the information can be protected.

The activation deadline is August 30, 2024, and after that date, the user may lose access to their account.

To activate it, you must follow these steps: Open Facebook settings, select “settings and privacy” and then open the account center.

Within this, you must select the “passwords and security” option and then look for the “advanced protection” section.

Thus, to activate this type of protection you only have to follow the instructions on the screen and press the next button on each screen.
