Actress Mehwish Hayat also gave an interview to the Urdu service of the British broadcaster BBC, in which she spoke about Pakistani artists working in Bollywood, criticism of Bollywood, Hollywood and her upcoming films.

Mehwish Hayat said during an event in Oslo this year that Pakistan is presented in a controversial manner in Hollywood and Bollywood films.

In this regard, Mehwish Hayat was asked in the interview that if someone who is going to make a good offer to him in the future gets angry with his statement, what will he say about it? Mehwish Hayat said in this regard that If telling the truth won’t get them to cast me, my first choice would be to tell the truth and not have them cast me.

Referring to the treatment of Pakistani artists working in Bollywood, Mehwish Hayat said that our actors did a great job in their films, but what did they do? They neither gave visas to our actors, nor made them part of film promotions, just took out my work and threw it away like tissue paper, but for me my self-respect is the most important thing. To be honest, we don’t need Bollywood. And neither Bollywood needs us, their industry is huge and we should work for our industry.
