According to Harris Poll survey participants, the jobs most affected by generative AI will be data analysis, communications, office and administrative functions, and financial operations. Data analysts/data scientists are cited by 28% of participants as the most affected jobs. Reasons to adopt generative AI
More than half of respondents (52%) cite staff productivity gains as the primary reason to adopt generative AI over the next three years. Meanwhile, 44% of respondents cite improved customer service as another reason to adopt generative AI, followed by workflow automation in the business (39%).. In other words, European companies have understood the benefits of generative AI in terms of efficiency and performance, and now want to take advantage of it to improve their customer service.
Concerns when deploying generative AI
For deploying generative AI, 49% of companies cite security as their number 1 concern, followed by quality control (43%) and compliance with laws and regulations (37%). It is clear that effective deployment of generative AI requires careful planning and preparation to minimize risks and ensure compliance with current regulations.
Generative AI is a technology that arouses as much enthusiasm as fear for European business leaders. The benefits such as productivity gains, improved customer service and workflow automation are significant, but risks such as non-compliance, security and quality control must be considered. European companies must therefore put in place generative artificial intelligence policies and strategies to take full advantage of it without compromising the quality of their work as well as the security of their data and their customers.
